Wink Welcome The Newest MB to the Family

My brother Dave just added a nice '83 300DT. Originally from Buffalo, we purchased it from forum member Bruce Lane. Tight running car and starting in the single digits....has 156k on it.

Thumbs up

Nice cars; congrats to your brother! If only I could talk MY brother into ditching the wife's Mercury "Mystake" for a MB diesel...

I am on my second MB... this time an 84 300TD T. I picker her up on New Year's Day. She's called "Heidi," owing partially, perhaps, to a fetching young lady of the same name who works at the local DQ. My Heidi needs a touch of cosmetic surgery, but she'll be restored to her former glory someday...

Congrats on the purchase!

Chris

I wish my 83 300D looked that good. When I'm done I will have just as good a lookin 300D running on veggie. I got some dents to take care of, but nothing real major.

Thanks for the replies. It has more rust on it than first thought, but she is a great runner.

As with most of my cars, it looks nice from 40 feet away

The fog lights are not clear though they look like it in the pic.

Not trying to corner the market. I have a serious addiction to 123's. Can't pass em up.

Perhaps if we all buy 25 of them or so, we'll put a short squeeze on the market and make money.

Don

I doubt it. As of today, only in Tulsa county, I have counted 183 different MB diesels (D, CD, TD, SD, SDL, and E300 models) over the time of two years. I write down the plate number and keep them in a MS Excel file. Now THAT's an addiction :p

wow that sounds like a lot! frankly we don't see that many 123's still plying the roads around here. i sort of do a double take when i see one and sometimes the other driver does as well!

when i drove down to fla last spring a saw maybe four in 1300 miles of highway driving.

Somebody on the forum has over 20 of them. I can't remember his name however. Keeps them out back and 'when one goes down....I just out back and get another one'.

How about a pole barn with a mechanic's pit and about 8 bays? I think that would be some serious fun.

Wow, Don, that's a lot of 123's that your family has. I too love the 123's. I'd rather drive a 123 than any other car in the world.
