How much fuel does an OM617 pump?
Hello!
I'm looking at putting a water separator on my Scout boat, and curiosity popped into my head and leads me to ask this question. At WOT, how much fuel does an OM617 pump per hour out of the fuel tank? i.e. if I wanted to put an aftermarket Racor water separator in, what kinda capactiy would I want? Just wondering...thanks!

I saw Racor uses the formula: (Engine HP) x 0.18 = GPH
Ex. 120hp x 0.18 = 21.6gph. In other words, pretty much any filter Racor makes sould work fine on an OM617. This is the one I would buy: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33660&item=2453054802 I was going to use the buy it now if it were new and not rebuilt. |
