the cost of a BLACK car!

Well I've had "darker" colored cars.

I will only have a white (maybe silver or light yellow/tan) car from now on!

Lots of extra strain on the A/C with the "darker" ones.

Evaperator failure rate

I'm curious - it seems that everyone tells people looking at 300 series automobiles to be very careful of the A/C evaperator as they can cost major $$$ to fix if they are found leaking.

Does anyone have any statistics on the rate of failure for the evaperators? I'm trying to figure out if this is a VERY common problem, or if it's only hit or miss.

Thanks much.

Thumbs down Missed the car

Thanks for the advice all

The car was on the drug seized property auction(sealed bid) and someone wanted more than I did.

Of course if I was going to have as much fun with it as Rick has with the black one 300e I'm glad I bid too low.
