Post any sounds or videos of MB diesels you may have!

I am interested to hear/see any sounds and videos people have recorded. The sounds of all the different MB diesels are different and I'd like to hear 'em all!

Here's the elusive S400 CDI at idle with a German advertising the engine.

Right here

I have three videos. idle to redline, 0-60 tachometer, and 0-60 boost gauge. They are with my digital photo camera so there is no sound. e-mail/PM and I will send them. I don't have a server host to post them.

I'm with you, 22.

This might be interesting. Trying to make real music files(real music, with people singing) and using a Mercedes diesel as one of the instruments? Would that be a little too weird?

That was an excellent clip.

But I must say, it seemed quite biased AGAINST the Mercedes.

For example, they mentioned how sluggish the engine was. Although it was the quickest of the group to 100 km/h and had the same topspeed as the rest of them.

The merc had good consumption, class leading performance, excellent ride quality. Negative was the squidgy handling, and engine obtrusiveness(?).

They also voiced the Bimmer as a fresh design and the E-Class was showing age. Why do they think the Merc, that sells for nearly the same price as the Bimmer, is still the leader in sales, as they say, for its market segment? Total fluke, right?

How true! How true!
I drove an E320CDI last April. It scared my wife because she was afraid that I would never get out of the car. The E320CDI is excelent.

Cool Video. What's all that stuff on top of your dash? This is a 240D correct?
Love the black smoke. And that rattle is nothing a few gallons of WVO can't fix up.
