I'm with them - thanks for posting. The photo of mile zero brought back memories. When we lived in Dodge mine was the only diesel mercedes in town. I wonder if yours has been the only one to pass by the sign since! (they're pretty rare north of Edmonton) Speaking of long road trips also reminded me that we drove my 300d from Ft. Smith in the North West Territories to Tampa FL one year - left it there with my grandparents for eight or nine months while we backpacked through central and South America and then drove it back home in the spring. I don't remember the mileage for that trip (we didn't care at that time in our lives!)but it was easy cruising all the way. That was the same car that lived with us in Dawson - the odomoter quit at 328000 and I drove it almost another year after that before rust got the better of us.
