http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33582&item=2456765641

Correct part number, but he lists them for '81 not an '80.
I bet they would fit and work better than what i have. what do you think

In the book the categories are ' up to 79', 80 and 81, then the other years each by themselves... so that is not a problem in that respect.....
However, the distance of travel when under 1000 Newtons of force puts these listed in the Weaker half of the springs available from MB ... and I think you need the upper half at the minimum... since you will be ' scrambling' to provide the robust strength which the SLS provldes stock....
All things considered so far I think you should not give up on finding a local spring retempering shop.... What big town is closest to you ?

FYI, I looked up the prices for those springs but ones for my car (same thing right?) BMA sells them for $50ea, with free shipping. See my site for the link to them.

That one is listed as 17.9 spring travel per 1000 Newtons load, 15.2 wire diameter, 389 unloaded spring height.
