be careful when lifting your hood

a minor thing maybe but.. when i went to lift my hood yesterday water had frozen solid in the hood drain area by the hinges and the tube for the windshield washers was lying frozen solid in a block of ice
there was just enough slack in the tube so it did not break

just a heads up..

The interior hood release on my 240 wouldn't work...

it took a little fiddling to get it to engage...ALSO washer reservoir contents had frozen in unusual cold....wouldn't squirt until engine room had warmed. ALSO...because the engine runs colder, takes longer to get any heat inside.

Think there are a bunch of things that can go slightly out of true with extremes of temp...any others?

jim, i think the washer is a safety item these days. when you get behind a semi kicking up salt and debris etc, you really need a perfectly operating washer system!

i got stuck behind a salter the other day and when i passed,
it felt like it was raining hailstones on me
