ah man this is too funny. well to be reasonable his figures aren't too unreasonable.

i mean i am running 322HP with 565lb/ft torque on my 300SD with 30 psi of boost (ofcourse with intercoolers) and that is on a 5 cylinder diesel, he has 6 cylinders. in fact i got 5 of these back at the ranch. i have pics to prove em.

Now, now guys.

Every board has it’s entertainment value. I see this one is no different.

Yes, I’d guess to you that know these cars better than most of the rest of us ever will; this is rather funny.

But, lets not forget the source here. It’s a kid. I’m not sure where he lives or where he’s from, but he doesn’t even have a license here yet. He’s 18 years old. Let’s take a moment to think back when we were into cars at that age. I remember, like most of you, that flipping the air cleaner cover over on moms Grand Torino gave it at least 40 more horses. (I can’t recall thinking however, that cooled oil made the car go that much faster.)

Let’s not think that he’s here to boast to the pros that his dad has the fastest diesel on the planet. Let’s just think he’s happy with his dads car and wants to share it with you. As for the HP, acceleration and cruise speed statements; let them go. He’s obvious not up to speed (no pun intended) on the actual stats on the car.

With that said: Let’s just look at the pictures and think “nice car” and nothing more. (With the possible exception of the fact that those wheels just ruin it for sure. (But, that might just be to bjcsc and myself. God, I hope not…..))

lol no man, im not such a noob in things like this

I know almost every thing of the engine of a car. I have read much books, ok i have no exprerience but I have read very much. And no it is not the fastest diesel on the world im not that stupid haha. Ok i think i got the oil cooler and intercooler wrong, it is an oil cooler.
The car chip tuned and has remus pipe, not on the picture.(i mean the 300 turbo diesel)

Here is a pic of an S300 231hp, we are probably going to change the 300 turbo diesel for this one...
S300 , leather interior and much things. 20inch wheells

I'm not sure since I dont have an OM603, but from what I have gathered from other posts/threads, the computer on the OM603 only controls the idle and egr. If that's the case, all it could do is disable the EGR and raise the idle.

BTW, there is a HUGE difference between book smarts and real under-the-hood experience.

I don't think you can outrun the BMW 325I. Especially not from 0-100 km/h.

Besides You wrote
Quote:
I was cruising with a full bagage in the back of the car with 190km/h @ 4200 RPM !!! @ 3000 RPM was I running 130km/h

If you have 4000 rpm's in 190km/h how many rpm's would that be in 230??

The red zone on the tach. in my 220 CDI starts at 4600 rpm's , and it has a a top speed of approx 200km/h @4250. and in 130 it reads about 2800 rpms.
I do not think your car is capable of that speed.
Besides the new E320 CDI is doing 0-100 km/h @8.3 sec with 204 hp and a torque of 500 N/m

Sorry

the 300 turbo diesel has no red in the rpm meter. The car runs about 5600 rpm MAX. And i swear i have un out a 325.

So the td is not chippable?

I never said it wasn't chippable I just asked you to make up your mind whether or not YOUR car is chipped.
In one post you say you want to have it done in another it is already done.
If you care to follow the link I put in a previous post you can see what kind of figures you can expect on the various engines

there is definetily something wrong with you. I don't know if u enjoy lying or just changing stories around. you say u know a lot about cars but if u mistake the oil cooler for an intercooler then i would have to say u don't. and all these figures and fact u put up seems unreasonable. it is confirmed by all the wise and experience people on this board that the numbers u write down don't mean crap. personally i find that people who type alternating both upper and lower cases are childish, because that was a trend used by immature asian americans. being asian myself i find your nonsense and changing stories a disgrace. BTW not calling u a liar, just saying u are lying.

Ok, KaRaKaN. I’m sorry if I’ve offended you in any way here. If you know nothing about any car at all, I’ll certainly say you seem to have the desire to. If you’re going to post here however, perhaps you should make sure you are 100% certain of your claims. That, or be ready to answer many questions. I for one, have to show what I think is a 1980 300D in near mint shape for it’s age to someone in Colleyville who probably wont. I honestly think his opinion of my car may be closer to reality than my own. But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and horsepower and intercoolers are another item all together.

Anyway - I meant no harm. It’s just that here, it would appear you’ve rather baffled a handful of people that have probably forgotten more about these cars than you and I may ever know. They took it to the point of referring to what could be called past deadbeat posters, as well as sarcastic notes on their own 322hp vehicles. I simply wanted to put a little in to perhaps curve where this all was going. That, being someone telling you that perhaps you haven’t a clue about the cars true specs while singing Kenny Nolan’s song: I like Dreamin’…(ref. http://www.minibite.com/romance/ilikedreaming.htm for those who have forgotten.)
So - If you’re going to get upset with me, I’m sorry. But keep in mind, I was on your side of all this when I said (and you quoted): Let’s just look at the pictures and think “nice car” and nothing more.

I’ve been reading this board for some time now, though I’ve just recently begun posting. As a “Junior member”, perhaps I’m out of line by posting to this thread at all. If that’s the case. My appologies to those readers who are offended.

ps - The new car wheels are a bit better. As for the others, one word: eBay.

Hey Bailey. Knowledge doesn't come from lenght of membership. As you can see I'm a junior member myself , But that doesn't make us stupid or having to believe some of the fairytales told by other "more experienced members" If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is And I think this one does.

Norseman.

Rooooooger that, Norseman. I hear ya.
I did not mean to imply any level of knowledge in relation to length of membership. I’m new to the board and simply didn’t want to offend anyone by stepping into the boat, and going directly into rocking mode.
(On that line - It looks to me like some might want to find this guy a plank.)

I'm not sure exactly what/when you asked, but I'll combine the current topics.

Here is a pic of my engine as of today (2/17/2004).
