Thumbs up

Looks good! I really like the 183 HP figure. Intercooler pics would be much appreciated.

Something must be wrong with me. I'm just not into all that performance hip-hop fast and furious crap - esp. on an MB. I think the momo whatever wheels really detract from the car's overall appearance and all I see in the pics is an otherwise nice looking MB with a horrible roof box on it...

I'm not trying to pee on anyone's picture parade and do not mean any offense, it's just the way I feel about it...sorry...

W124 300D's were available with the turbocharged 603 in other markets, at least into the early 1990's. He claims 183hp because he has an intercooler. This figure *is* possible with intercooling and tweaking of the IP, but I have yet to see proof...

ok, I got one pic of the engine bay. It is a 3.0L engine, with 6 cylinders.

I want to chip it too, but do you guys know if this will increase power? And how much will that be?

Yes the box on the roof is horrible, it was in the summer we were going on holiday

The car is from 1989, I dont have my cam i forget it all the time. When I got it I will ASAP make some pics of the engine.

Question

And the intercooler is where? I see plumbing going directly from the turbo to the intake manifold. Looks like my SDL engine.

edit: perhaps this engine pic is before the intercooler install

Intercooler

I too can see no intercooler. It would have to be between the turbo and the manifold, or piped from the turbo to the intercooler, then to manifold.
