diesel fuel odor
I have a 1993 300 SD. I go somewhere and return to my garage and park it go in the house then return to the garage a couple
of minutes later there is an odor of raw diesel fuel. After approx. 1/2 hr. to 45 min. the odor is totally gone. I have looked & felt of all the lines ,connections, & crawled underneath but cannot find any leaks. I changed the filter also. Also I have looked while the car is idling. Does anybody have any ideas??? Thank you for any new ideas |

I've had an occasional problem in the summer with overfilling. Other than that, I'm thinking of the injector lines, etc. That is normally where I see moist fuel on mine.
Raw diesel odor is not that bad of a deal though Most of us like the smell. Don
