Yours probibly looks like mine did before last night..


I have another good lower seat spring in the slavage yard here for a w123 if you know anyone else local that needs one. I can get it cheapish..

there is a black crossmember that is blocking access to the rear bolts. it is black in color and it attached to the seat railing. the crossmember completely blocks access to the bolts.
front ones came out ok.
can anyone help?

I learned a trick to re-installing the front seats. If the tracks become twisted during installation, the bolts are really hard to align.

There are two large springs under the seats that control the front to back slide effort. Take a pair a vise grips and remove these two springs before installation. AFTER all 4 bolts are threaded into the floor, reinstall the springs. They are not under that much tension.
