Beautiful...

If I didn't have to parallel park in a tight downtown neighborhood, I'd get that car... But d*mn is that car long!

Bet you could fit two bicycles in the trunk of that car.

Nice color. Is it straight silver or is it blueish at all?

Awsome car, great color combo. I just love the way the W126 looks, so stately.

Beautiful! I especially like the black leather interior.

Yours, like mine, needs a new hood star. I bought one at the dealership for ~$20... I still need to install it.

Timeless Beauty there. I still am amazed that a Benz, even 20 or 30 years old, can look brand new if reasonably taken care of.

Thanks

The car is silver, I took the pictures this evenig just as it was starting to get dark. I went to the Insurance agent and their camera was dead so I had to e-mail them some pitures.

OH YEA I bet I could fit a recumbant in there. Personally I have a road and Mountain bike but haven't put them in there yet.

About the star........it had the original on it and within 2-days my 9yr old son found a way to break it off:confused: At least it's easier to fix than a big dent or something.

BTW I just finished changing the headlight to some HO jobs and what a PITA. Turned out to be a 45 min. Job:mad: Thats what I get for trying to do it in the dark:D

Very nice. Must have that hood star.;) I would also try to get some nice sheep skins. They look nice on a MB and they will help protect the seats from more cracking (I see yours has some). I agree with Bruce, these cars are timeless beauties. They just look so much more elegant than most new cars.

Nice looking SD. Is this your first MB diesel?

psdsteve 02-21-2004 09:00 AM

1st Maybe not last

Yes it is my first MB but probably not the last. My wife would probably confiscate it if given the chance. Will probably keep my eye out for another one for her. My Ford Diesel is in one of the pictures in the backgroud.

I plan on patching and re-dieing the seats. Using some info from this site of course. If that doesn't work I will probably have them fixed.

The Star......my son is saving up his allowance to pay for it. It might be a while.
