Thanks, I guess the next question is, do the Temperature Switches go bad? I am thinking that the temp switch could have gone bad...I am also going to check the A/C Fan like jobah had mentioned.

I beleive that you will find that you need to fully flush the system. Then use a vacume pump and evacuate the sysem and then install oil{the one for R12} then put the freon in.

While you are correct in planning on replaceing the R/D since the system was opened up.... or when vacuuming and replaceing the refrigerant.... I do not think you know where the leak was yet...

If you are thinking that the actual temp switch leaked your refrigerant... I can promise you that is not the case.... the temp switch is not in contact with the refrigerant..only the pressure switch is.... so the temp switch can be replaced without replaceing or opening up the system or replacing the R/D ( if you had not had a leak )...
