Car moving services

I have seen bits an pieces about people who have bought cars from far away had them shipped back home. As of yesterday I find myself in need of such a service. After a quick search, the choices seen endless. I need to have a car moved from South FLA. At this point in time to North FLA. Possibly all the way back home to OH.

If you have had good or bad experiences with car movers please post.

Thank you,

Dale Mitchell

Thre most important words in auto shipping: shop, shop, shop.

I was going to have a vehicle shipped to Kodiak, AK and discovered that there were HUGE differences in price (for assentially the same product: getting a car from Austin, TX to Seattle, WA. In the course of my research, I found prices ranging from $350 to over $2000....and that was the straight-forward no frills stuff.

You want insurance that covers your vehicle for everything during transit, make sure you're a top load...don't want someone's leaker dripping on your paint and sometimes you can get a really good deal if your schedule is flexible.

Ultimately it was moot, we didn't ship but, I'm glad I did all that research. Now I know.

how much will you spend?

Hello Oil_burner
I did some checking, $500 - $58,000.00 on Florida to Ohio.
The cheap way is train, could not get a price on that before COB.
One of the more expensive ways is air freight charter 24 hour delivery $58,000.00 USD.
Flying Tigers claims they can have it on the ground in Ohio in five hours; gasp, gag, choke, you do not want to know what their cost is.
