Smile e-bay special

Well just got back my 83CD, that I purchased in Feb. Thoght you guys might want to see my bill. I know this should probably go under "shops",but it is diesel related. Anyway I say that the trans. shifted very harsh, & upshifted way to quickly, all screwed up, & the brakes were very bad. Prices as follows:
1) change eng. & trans. fluids, filters, p/steer. &flush, air filter, rear end fluid. etc. $256.00
2)r&r cigar return fuel line? $33.00
3)New front rotors, pads, sencors, brake lines, master cyl., flush
$262.00-parts, $labor $295.00
3)on trans. fix mod. leak, replace valve cover switching valves, adjust & tune eng. & trans. Total $229.00
4) Install 2 new door strikers & adjust $ 96.00
Total was about $1300.00, also he rebuilt the front caliper, & supplied a good used rear caliper for this price.
I am very happy, the trans shift's so smooth! & at right speeds depending where the throttle is. I think he was more than fair, he also stated that he figured that the engine had been replaced at some point, because it runs so well, & no oil leaks. Anyway thought you guys would like to here a good repair story. Now onto the interior!. Oh the shop name: ************** in Bellingham WA, that's right the one that sells the kits & stuff on the web. If one is not in a hurry, he might take on some new work.(it did take all most 3 wks) no big deal. Kent is very busy with his web sales, very honest & a nice guy!
Scotty

I thought he wasn't taking on new customers (that's what he says on his website, and somebody else confirmed that here). Were you a previous customer of his, or is he just taking work when he has the time?

Thumbs up

I am an acquaintance of the fellow that own's the property where Kent's shop is at, & I live close by. Also I have pestered everyone until I think he felt sorry for me. I do believe under the right circumstances, he might pick & choose (on the right vehicle) some projects. AS Long as one is not in a hurry!!. Now I feel like maybe I should not have posted this, but did it only to let other owners know of my experience, & might eliminate any concerns about buying parts or kits from Kent, (over long distances or on the Web I know this can be a concern). I also felt by posting what I paid for services might help someone else get competative prices where they live. Anyway, I don't mean to offend anyone, especialy Kent, just thought it might help others
Scotty
