603 Oil Pump Replacement?
Looks like I may have a bad oil pump on my 1991 350SDL with 159K miles on it.
Replacing due to pressure being almost nil at idle and a bit over "2" on the gauge at higher RPM's. Does anyone here know what causes these pumps to fail? When dropping the pan to replace the oil pump are there any other logical parts to replace? Thank you. Last edited by ezrider; 03-08-2004 at 01:36 PM. |

What makes you think you have a bad oil pump?
Not much to replace when you have the bottom end opened up just gaskets. Henry

Why are there 3 threads about this?
Have you taken it to the dealer yet to see what they say? It did happen immediately after they changed the oil, if I read your original thread correctly. |
