Solution !!!!! Windows-Seats-HB Flasher
Solution ::::FINALLY !!!!!
After looking at the Fuse designation chart in the fuse box, I saw that Fuse # 17 which is suppose to be for: wipe/wash system, optical horn, relay headlamp cleaning unit/comfort circuitry/window lift-tem 86 looked a little suspicious. Changed it out and everything works. Note that this fuse did not mention any of the problems that I was having other than the criptic "window lift-term.86" This fuse fixed my High beam flashers, all seats and all windows. This is on my '86 300 SDL. Other models may vary. Glad that's over.

Alan911,
I can't figure why MB uses those fuses that have an open lead to brass connection. The lead corrodes and guess what: an open circuit. Seems to me that fuses with crome plated brass terminals would be more reliable, especially with all the electronics on the newer cars. I think Buss fuses, as described above, are available with pointed ends that replace the MB fuses directly. P E H Last edited by P.E.Haiges; 03-08-2004 at 04:21 PM. |
