fuel return lines...

I know I need at least 2 meters to change all return lines on my w123 diesel.

Anybody out there purchase something other than "official" diesel return line? You see, if I can buy something locally and not have to send away, that would be great.

Like, will regular fuel line work?
When I replaced the flexible line between the gas tank and the rigid chassis-mounted line I used fuel injector line from Napa- it wasn't even metrick, just damn close to the size and then I used hose clamps.

in a pinch once i used some old braided vac hose from a vw.. suffice to say it did not work!
spring for the oem stuff, it may be a tad expensive but it works and lasts a long time.
