Do you think the AC still runs on R12 or was it converted to R134a? ;) :D

Good Night. I'm going to bed.

Dave

PS
That 5 speed would be great, Maybe I'll fly over the Spain and see about getting one and the conversion setup for the 240D and 300TD. And maybe the radio, looked very nice. Cloth seats, "forgetaboutit"

Lol, ok dave, just messin' around with ya. That wood does look nice, but I don't know anything about it, at the very least with this many posts people should tend to read it! ;)

Not a big fan of cloth seats huh? I just can't stand sticking to my seats on a hot summer day, MB-tex is about the best for everything other than that though.

Those sure were nice looking knobs in that last picture...

Dave,
It wouldn't be that big of a deal to pull those knobs and put a piece of zebrano veneer across that plastic climate control panel. To me, that looks like what they've done to the W123 in the pic.

A while back there was a link listed to an on-line shop in Germany. Can't remember the name but should show up in a search. maybe mbwerks.com?? i really don't remember the name. It used to be on my favorite list but lost it in a computer crash.

Very true Randy, that shouldn't be that hard to do if the part can't be found easily.

Lol, morgan....

A fellow sure can spend a pile of money quickly buying ready made custom wood parts for a 20+ year old car...

I think I'd first exhaust the possibility of finding a square foot or two of suitable laminate or veneer and then cut, drill, trim and contact cement your way into interior heaven.
