back to the future L.E.D. (s)

Sorry , just stumbled upon this .

'have done this on sailboat breaker panels (L.E.D s "draw"
much less amperage , because they don't produce heat
as a by product of"Lighting Up" a filament. Think of a normal
incandescent bulb as you would the heat element on the
stove, or a water heater.)

Barring any voltage/amperage fluctuations that M.B.'s
instrument panel might be sensitive to?? : your problem
is finding L.E.D.s that would plug into existing sockets.
Soldering L.E.D.s to those tiny tiny sockets would not be
my idea of a fun time!
