Headlight Question
I'm trying to figure out what kind of headlights I have, they look a lot like these . There are numbers on mine 127 103 L1 (or LI) for the left and 127 104 RE for the right. They are Hella's. Mine are shot... lenses cracked and the chrome is bad on the inside so I need to replace them sometime soon and don't want to pay $300!

salvage yard
would be a good idea; if you want cheap.
Perhaps someone has a set lying around, they would sell. Have a great day.

Hi Wasuchi.
Just look around on ebay. Many times the are offered there. The lenses alone can be replaced, you don't have to replace the whole light. Louis. |

My problem is figuring out what will fit my 300D, will the ones on my ebay link fit? They look just like the ones I have but will 116 headlights fit a 123 or is there a small difference?
And unfortuantely I do need to replace the whole light because the reflectors are starting to peel inside, otherwise I would have replaced the lenses long ago.

Click parts inventory, then year, then model then European, then body electrical. You'll need to call but they are fairly cheap with the other parts they sell. Louis. |

Euros for the W123 chassis have been running considerably less than those for the W124 (which needs them more!) on eBay.
Take a look-see and something will pop up. You can always replace them with DOT headlamps for cheap until you find some affordable Euros. New Hella or Bosch headlamp assemblies will NOT be inexpensive (that's why I bought DEPOs for my 300D -- damned deer mashed on and I'm out of money at the moment). Peter
