I'm Finally selling the 300CD, maybe

A Co-Worker offered me $2,000 for it today, but he asked if I could do payments of $200 each paycheck, and I said sure. I am thinking $2,000 is too high for it, with of some the issues, and I told him I might go lower because of them... How would I work the deal out with making bi-weekely payment?

not sure you mean bi-weekly?
that case the 2 grand would be paid off in 5 weeks.

if it was $200 bi-monthly then it would take 5 months to pay...

I know in NJ you can put a lien on the title with your name. Do that with a singed agreement and release the lein once it's paid off.

well.. then i guess it would all come down to trust.. if you sign the title over then all the risk is yours.

edit: good idea john putting a lien onto the title, however it is a rather smallish amount of money in the grand scheme of things.

perhaps you could release the car to the buyer with say a 25% downpayment.

I am going to draw up a contract tonight, and present it to him tomorrow, then will dedraft it if the terms don't meet his expectations.

I will also get the advice from my dad who is a banker, he should know the best way for doing it, which will probally not do it in the first place...

My coworker said he could pay me $200 now, and maybe a PS2 with some games and a modem for a down payment, but I told him $200 would be good enough, since I don't play video games...

Ask him what games, check thier value on ebay. Maybe you can make more than $2,000 if you use your head

Check your PM inbox.
I want to send you a PM but it's full.
What shape is your 300CD in? I know someone who could pay cash for the car.

I am interested in a 300cd, in fact I have been bidding on nearly everyone on ebay, I finally was the high bidder on one located in california. is there a means to find out if another member of the discussion is selling a vehicle? if there is then I would be interested.
