My ac won't spin ,belt was removed by previous owner.It is froze up .Is there any fixs or does it have to be replaced and is this a diy or is it really hard to get my air to work.Thanks

In the case of a locked up compressor, not only must it be replaced, but the ENTIRE system MUST be THOROUGHLY and COMPLETELY flushed. If not the debris that is strewn throughout the system due to compressor failure will destroy the new compressor almost immediately.
