I got a 79 300 SD in exchange for work I did on a friends house.Changed all fuelfilters, diesel purge, power steering filter, valve cover gasket, new injector fuel lines, turbo gaskets, new tires, am currantly trying to slow down cancer issues, have to go under hood to shut it down, drive it hard,(80 -90 mph) on freeway, seems to like it!,new tires, alignment, and exaust, dark blue, palimino int. tinted rear windows,118,000 original miles. No monthly car payments, high insurance etc... This is the wave of the future.

yes I did check the adjustmant on the valves. #4 cylinder is a bit loose, all the rest are fine, just going to leave it for now, a little loose on one valve will be O.K.

1982 300SD Light Blue with dark blue interior. somewhere around 250,000 miles???

Replaced all filters, new stereo and interior, Cleaned out ALDA lines and Switchover valve, new Vacum Valve Levers, and a few other tid bits here and there.

Still working on the Odometer, speedometer and A/C System. Bought her for $500.00 from an officer who was transfering. Best purchase I've ever made. I love the ease of working on her and she's great to drive. Awesome!

Love the 116's, if only they had a smaller front bumper.
Did Euro models come with more reasonable front end?

As much as I love the classic W116 & W126 long body sedans. I have my eye on a 95 E300 Diesel to fill up my stable. The wifes Explorer will be exiled to the street. What do you guys think of the 95 E300?
