I was the fan switch today

I was sitting at a park in my car eating lunch today and she started to creep up to 100C. SO I found a screw that came out of the car phone kit, popped the hood, unplugged the fan clutch wire from my bad 100C switch and grounded out the lead w/ the screw to the valve cover. I held it there for a minute or 2 where I could barely hold it there because of the hot air hitting my hand. Anyway... doing that pulled the temperature back down to where it should be. I really need to get that new switch ordered here soon, it's getting warm here pretty quick.

On the top of the engine, where the upper radiator line comes out under the valve cover. The switch sticks up and has a red ring around it and the fan clutch wire has a black connector. At least that's how it is for mine and I believe all the other 60X.
