Not a snowball's chance in hell. Try going to a Mercedes dealer and talk to anyone about Mercedes commercial vans. Nobody has a clue.
There is only a handful of people in the US who have any parts listings for MB commercial vans.

I wonder how Freightliner honors their warranties. I know with Dodge, they're usually a PIA as I know from personal experience.

Kerry,
I'd appreciate hearing more about your parts sources for the earlier generation MBZ van/trucks and where you would look for one to buy. The next addition to my fleet of grease-burners will be a truck and I'd honestly like to keep it "all in the family" with a 309 or somthing like it.

The news about parts for earlier commercial vehicles is not good. When I first bought my 307d in the UK and needed some parts to take back over there with me, Phil at Fastlane directed me to Europa in Santa Fe. They were very good to deal with and fast. They have since gotten out of the G-Wagon import business and become a Saab (?) dealer so they are not as interested in obtaining parts for MB's. Although they did say they would get parts for me since my van was initially imported by the owner of that company.
Jim at Euro Tech Services in the NW (mainly a Unimog part supplier) claims to be the only authorized US MB source for their commercial vehicle parts. I have not had great luck there. I have been calling back and forth with him since Jan for some body parts and its been 3 weeks since I last heard from him. No parts and no indication they are coming.
The best source, as a result of these problems, seems to be EuroCarparts in the UK. They sell all parts for all Euro light commercial vehicles and will send you a complete catalog gratis. Patrick is their export person. He seems good to work with. However, shipping costs are high, and the decline of the dollar against the pound is the pits.
Luckily, most of the engine parts are the equivalent of the 300d in my van so I can get by with a lot of US parts.
Perhaps the situation with Euro Tech Services is a fluke and they will turn out to be a good supplier. I'll wait and see.
