Luca's Oil Stabilizer?
I've heard of this Luca's Oil Stabilizer stuff. It's an oil ADDITIVE. I know a lot of MB diesel owners say that additives should not be used in fuel or oil, but I've heard that this product is good for both old and new engines. I've heard that it will stop oil leaks and improve compression numbers, and protect the engine in other ways that I can't remember. This has been reccomended to me by a friend who swears by it, and a MB aficionado I met at one of the local MB dealerships who has a 84 300SD. Has anyone here used it, and if so, have you had a good experience with it?
-Joe

Don't use it. At high RPMs Lucas causes oil to foam, DECREASING the effectiveness of your oil considerably. This will significantly shorten the life expectancy of your engine.
Instead, use a good synthetic oil such as Mobil-1 0W40 or 15W50 Phil
