synthetic tranny fluid
 

I heard of a few people talk about Mobil 1 synthetic tranny fluid as a good fluid for the SD. I went looking for it today with no luck. Where did everyone else get theirs?

I've been wondering about synthetic ATF recently too. I'm interested in putting RedLine D4 ATF into the SDL, and I'm curious to know if anyone has done this and what their experiences have been.

Mobil 1 syn. ATF... Auto Zone.

I got mine from Autozone too. It's been in there for the last three months. No complaints or leaks.

I used Redline ATF and am totally happy. I called Redline (got the number from their website) and they gave me the name of the local distributor. I buy oil, trans fluid and 85+ by the case as I need it at wholesale. By the way, if this is your first time use of synthetic ATF it takes a while for you to feel the difference. In my case the real benefit of smoother shifts wasn't fully in place until after 10,000 miles or so. I guess I had a lot of old varnish to dissolve. I'll change again at 20,000 miles to get all the suspended gunk out.
