Problems with new 116 windshield seal...

Has anybody had problems with the windshield seals from FastLane? I ordered one and had my windshield shop attempt to install the new seal with the old chrome trim (and a new windshield). They made several attempts, but could not get the trim piece to hold in the rubber seal. The glass shop suggested that it may be due to an aftermarket seal. I told them that I hadn't heard of any problems with these seals, but that I'd ask around. I also asked them to see if they could get a seal for themselves and try from their supplier.

I'm waiting to hear back from them, just hoping someone may have additional input.

Anyone?

Anyone with positive or negative experience with aftermarket window seals for 116?

Crap, I bought one off of ebay. I haven't had it installed yet though. Mainly becasue of a lack of time and I am afraid what damage they will find since it's been leaking for at least as long as I've had it. It just comes in at the bottom left and some right. it then runs down by the parking brake.
I don't know what brand mine is, but I'll bet it's the same since I'm sure the company I bought it off of uses worldpac just like Fastlane.

I would definitely like to know how this works out for you. I've got to replace both front and rear seals and have been putting it off. My indy says he can order OEM seals for me and, from the sound of it, that may be the way to go. What did you guys pay for your seals?

I paid $30 or $25 I think. Like I said, it was on ebay from an auto store.
