240 body work

I posted earlier on the rust issues in connection with my 240D 77.
Today I had the local MB shop examine the rest, fortunately the front and rear supprt structural arms are all in perfect shape, where I have rust is the pan and damage done to the body by a leaking battery some years ago. The only possible structural damage that was identified is a "stabilizer bar" that goses up from the front end and enters the engine compartment somwhere in and around the battery area.
Can anyone recommend a body shop in Houston that can tackle this issue? I would appreciate any help on this.
I know that this may be way too stupid, but I find myself too damn attached to this old baby and can not let it go.
By the way the car has a new engine in it.

Thanks,
Vahe

Recommended shop list

I believe there is a recommended independant shop list working on a seperate forum.
My suggestion would be to call someone you trust and ask them who they would recommend to do this work.

As for the leaking, I'm amazed it didn't eat through the sheet metal beneath the battery (not talking about the tray, talking about firewall) as well. Did they look? Many cars get this which leads to the puddle of water on the floor behind the front passenger seat. In order to avoid this problem in the first place I use a DuraLast battery from autozone which has a hose on the vent which I can extend and lead it outside the engine compartment!
