Rare as in compared to a Camry, yes. Rare as in hard to find, no.

Cornhole. Definitely. They're not "rare" - look on AutoTrader, there are dozens for sale at any given time. You have your pick of colors, miles, and condition... maybe not location though. Now the 500E is somewhat rare, and the 1994 E500 is really rare... less than 400 of those imported to the USA in '94. I dunno what the numbers are for the 124.034 but I bet it's in the tens of thousands for all four years.

As rare as a cornhole on a person. I had to say it. :)

Thats not rare, W126 350SD is rare. So are the 1987 300TD wagons. I think there were only around 2,500 of each made. 300E with a 5spd 750 give or take sent to the US.

cwa 04-07-2004 10:59 PM

speaking of rare...

MB claims that 265 of the 1987 300TD's were 4 wheel drive.
Has anyone seen one of those in the USA?
I think that all were kept in europe, maybe like Switzerland or Austria (somewhere in the alps).

The 124.333 and .393 (4Matic) were never imported to the USA. I've never even seen a gray market version in the USA. Now THAT is what I'd call "rare"!

:D

Nope, I see em from time to time. Mostly in champagne, pearl black, black or silver

a 4Matic Turbodiesel wagon... now that is one interesting car!

Does anyone have a listing of the W124.xxx numbers and which 124 they correspond to?

I'm reading all your replies and I realized that I forgot to post the stupid link.
