Man, I'd like to get 67.3 mpg in my mercedes...
That would make my 150 mile daily commute almost affordable. I couldn't see it in the pics but it says something about "dual controls" but I would live with the steering wheel on the wrong side. I quess 4750 pounds (euros?) is in the neighborhood of 9500 US? does anyone know current conversions?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2469674050&category=9855 Does anyone know if the CDI's are ever coming ashore? Are they sold in Mexico? THis has to be a lot better than a Prius, |
CDI's have been here for a while in the Sprinter but not until next year in a sedan.

Suspect you might be surprised at how small that car is by US standards; most folks here would think it was a high top tennis shoe with wheels.
A British Pound today was $1.83 so cost of vehicle in USD is ~$8,700.00 |
i would love to get one of these...

Now MB just has to put in a Diesel/electric
hybrid and you should get 100mls/gallon. Wouldn't that be nice. But would put lotsa car makers and those Saudi oil trillionairs out of business. Louis. |
That's really cool. I know a lot of people who need one of these cars.
BTW, the E320 CDI should be arriving in dealerships right about now, according to everything I've read. It's not an A class, but it's a start. |
It'll happen:
the problem with the e class and other new mercedes (aside from the price) is that theyre so damned bland looking... Boooooring:o ....it seems as though all the car makers are using the same design team. NOW pop one of those new sprinter engines into a 123 or 126 (complete with 5 speed of course) and woweee!!!

[rant] I had the misfortune of driving a '00 Honda Civic this afternoon (my mom's car; we would have taken mine except my interior's a mess from installing and testing a radio that turned out to be bad), and calling that car "pathetic" would be an understatement. I suppose it's what people want these days, but it just plain felt like an appliance. No soul, cheap plastic interior trim, poor fit/finish (much of said plastic was moving about), something in the drivetrain didn't quite sound right (at less than 60K miles) and this car's been treated well for a good portion of its life. I just don't understand the appeal of them...I think I get roughly the same fuel mileage out of my 123, diesel's cheaper, I can outrun that car without a problem, I still think I have the edge in reliability, my car's more comfortable, and most importantly, I just plain feel safer in my car. MAN! I love my 123  [/rant] Have a nice day :) |
