rear bearing socket
Hello,
I need to replace the right rear bearings in the 300TD. I did a search on how to do this, and apparently you need a lot of muscle and a special socket that costs 60$. Could someone post pictures of this tool? I have a milling machine and a lathe at home and was thinking of maybe machining my own socket tool to save a few bucks if it wasn't too complex..

Lars,
ZdMak tools has the bearing tool at a special price because the outside diameter is out of spec. Seems like its too large, but you could turn it down on your lathe. I got mine for $28PP. Call mark at877-938-6657. Its tool #915-0207. I have tried mine yet so I can't say how it works or how much it has to be modified. P E H Last edited by P.E.Haiges; 04-09-2004 at 08:01 PM. |

Thanks PEH
I'll give him a call. At that price it's not worth it to make one. Let me know how the tool performs once you try it out.

Lars,
Did Mark give you the same deal he gave me ($28PP)? Did you order the tool? P E H |
