Yeah...

I know, by some peoples' definition, I'm taking a chance, but I decided that I'm not going to worry too horribly much about the ph values...8.1 is only slightly alkaline, so it's not like I'm pouring straight acid into the radiator

I'll wait until the next time I do a coolant flush (will probably be pretty soon; even tough I thoroughly flushed out the system last December, there's still gunk in there ), and do the switchover and see how it goes...

Evans coolant is MUCH more viscous than regular coolant. Could be the reason.... RT

I have been using the Cat Extended life coolant for about the last 100,000 miles in my S-350 without any problems.
