Thumbs up sluggish starts- 300SD

I have the same "sluggish on the start" in my '84 300SD. Having read these threads, I dropped the car off with my locaal MB independent shop, and mentioned the banjo bolt discussion. I got it back $120 later running like never before - very peppy. 100% better. He said the banjo bolt was clear, but he "adjusted the compensator". It runs great- like a gasser and incindentially, the tranny shifts smoother too. I think they are all vacuum related mechanisms.

It should get to 20 mph pretty quickly with minimal throttle. I had to adjust my ALDA and replace my banjo hose before it would do this. These will help immensely.
