Also, can you explain the meanings of ULSD and ASTM? Thanks.
The explanations have been done already, so I will just answer the remaining question.
Yes, I do use biodiesel in my 3 300Ds, in a 50% blend with cold filtered WVO.
The cold filtering is to ensure that no solidification of the oil occurs (I do not have a heater on the '84, so I cold filter all of my WVO).

I thought the reason everybody bought Benzes was because they are so perfect for veg-oil running...oh wait maybe that was just me:p

SoyDriver

I'm with you on this one...I bought my 300d for veg-oil burning without even having been in one! Now that I have it, I like it for lots of reasons.

How do you filter your WVO?

Question for SoyDriver Matt.

Do you wash your WVO to reduce the acidity?

I was thinking spraying some water through it and letting
it settle for about a month may be of benefit.

What do you think?

WVO questions

Purchased my 83 300 SD to use WVO. In process of setting up filtration system at home. Couple of questions?

What year/model Benz do you have? Mileage?
What percentage WVO do you use?
What WVOfiltration methods do you use? Pre-filtration or additional car filtration?

Dual fuel system? or pour it in the tank and go?

Do you use a preheater/heat exchanger to warm WVO?
How many miles do you have on WVO?

Thanks.

Will forward my setup when finished. Have oil supply lined up...first pickup next week!
