Arethey really OEM mirrors? Same quality and look as the originals? Did they come with the mirror glass? They have mirrors for the 123 for $22 each! I might get myself a couple too...

I took a look at it. I'm not quite sure what OEM means. But it does not have the little markings on it that the original mirror had on it. Nevertheless, it's a perfect fit, and looks good. The average person would not be able to tell the difference (very small), although a serious W126 "nerd" would be able to.

I was looking at my mirrors on my 300D last week when I was checking out other things. I remembered that someone said that they only pivot in one direction. Well I found that both of my mirrors pivot in both directions and are spring loaded with a clip on the front edge that holds them in place. I lubed them a little just in case they should get bumped so they don't get broken off.

On the 126 the mirrors only fold rearward. Therefore, if you back out of the garage and just barely tap the trim on the garage door, you fracture the casting on the mirror because the mirror will NOT fold forward.

So, Lietuviai, please reconfirm that the mirrors on the 123 will fold forward and will give if you back out of the garage and tap them.
This would really be quite something because the 126 definitely does NOT have this capability.
