Can you stand another window regulator question?
My dirvers side window, though attached to the regulator, slides down into the door. I was feeling around inside the door and couldn't find anything that felt broken. Looking at a photo of the regulator is not giving me any more understanding.
Where do these things fail?

Take the door panel off and look around, maybe. If you do a search under 126 door panel it shows some typical Mercedes pics of the removal.

One of the more common places these fail if that pin on the sliding part on the bottom channel, that attaches the arm. It comes loose or breaks.
Those pins are available through the usual MB sources. A little tough to get to, but it is really just a big rivet, with a plastic part on the end of it. Hammer the end while holding a backing plate on the back side, unless you have riveting tools. |

Do you think this kit is the repair for what you're talking about?

Well I'll be damned... Do they make these kits for the 201? That white plastic part looks like what broke on my back window regulator!

That doesn't look like the kit for the sliding jaw that usually breaks. The one that usually breaks is (if you look at the image on the original post) located on the "goldish" colored bar on the right upper corner of that image, it's the "lower" jaw on that bar in the image.
