Removing windows for metal repair

Does anyone know how best to get out and replace the metal/chrome window beading without damaging it? Need to do some remedial metal repair round various windows on my 123 3000 td

Many Thanks

Start at the end, slide the connector over to expose one end.

pry the end up, working it so as to not bend it.
If you hold pressure under it and be patient, it will pop out like a pimple.
Unfortunatley it takes removing one to get the hang of it..
