My 300SD has a pretty good oil leak where the oil filter canister meets the engine. Is this something I can do? It looks like the oil lines would have to be disconnected. Is there a link somewhere that gives step by step directions?
Thanks, Mr. BILL 85 300D 84 300SD |

There is a gasket between the oil filter housing and the engine block. No hard to do but a "dirty" job.

I need some advice on how to do this. Is there any trick to doing this gasket replacement? It looks like you need to disconnect the oil lines. Are they fragile? What's the procedure? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
