fast blinking lights

When I put left directional on, lights blink normally, but when I put right one on, lights blink super fast.....none of the bulbs are burnt out.

This happened after I removed the front headlight and corner light housings to work on AC hoses...when I put is back together, the fast blinking happened?!?!

you say that none of the globes are burnt out, but are they lighting up when the blinkers are on?
If the earth or power wires are not making a good contact, they will not allow current to the"good" globes, and they will not light.
This may be the cause of your "fast" indicators.
I would check the connections to the right hedlamp assembly.

That's what it was!

When the blinker was blinking fast, both front and rear directions were lighting.

I pulled off the plug to the front directional, cleaned off all the crud on both male and female terminals, applied anti-ox grease and plugged back in...then the directional worked fine...slow blinking!!

Thanks

when the indicator on the dash is blinking 'fast' it seems to point to some sort of malfunction with the directionals. sort of like a warning device.

this seems to be common on all german cars not just mb.

on mine when it happens turning on + off the hazard warning switch has cured it.
