240D to a 300D Turbo conversion?
 

Hi,

I think the engine on my 1980 240 is going to need a lot of work and there is a cheap 1983 300TD for sale here that leaks some oil but runs/starts really nice....how hard is it to swap engines on these cars? Can it be done? What are the hangups or is it fairly straight swap? The 300TD is also a automatic, where as my 240 is a manual, problems there?

Has anyone done this? Could be pretty sweet...!!!

Are most parts between these cars fairly interchangeable?
