The EPC shows the relay to be somewhere in the vicinity of the center console. Unfortunately EPC line drawings aren't necessarily correct for placement. Judging by the drawing it is either under the center console or mounted to the driver's side of the tranny hump generally in line with the radio. Found it under item 83, electrical systems for the 1983 300SD

My directionals and hazard flashers are not working. I guess I will have to take the console apart. Do I access it after taking the ash tray and radio out?

How do I get the radio out. Do I need the two special tools?
