Angry Oh Lord, Why dost thou hateth me?

Well, i successfully replaced my radiator with no apparent problems. I ran the engine for several minutes after finishing to cycle the fluid. While its running i look under the car to check for leaks and what do i see? An ATF leak coming from the drivers side of the transmission, near the tranny pan!!!! I touched nothing near there during the radiator work. Why would it just start leaking like that?
I cant tell exactly where its originating from, i dont think its the pan gasket.
Boy am i depressed right now.....

spray degreaser............get it clean and dry, start car up again and look for fresh fluid....then you found your point of origin.

Is yours a leaking vac modulator? How often do you check and re-fill the ATF? Im thinkin that if i dont fix this right away, ill be re-filling quite frequently. Now that I think about it, I also cant be certain that the leak began during my radiator swap. It was the first time that I just let my car run while sitting for about a week or so, so i may not have noticed it if it began during that week.

Mines leaking from the front and rear seal's. I'm adding about 1/4 of a quart every 200 miles, I'll be pulling the trans the third week in June when I'm out of school. The trans cooler lines used to be leaking really bad but I replaced those. No oil leaks yet though!!

Hatterasguy, your starting to make me feel better about not buying that car. Oh well. The velour would still be really neat. Almost bought a 560 with it, but sold before we had a chance to pick it up. Looks very comfortable.
Thanks
David

You should be danceing with joy! You list every commen W126 problem it has it. Now I'm doing battle with the oil cooler lines, see diesel forum. After this repair I'm going to do some thinking, If I'm not to far into it $$$ I may sell it and buy something newer. Like a mid 90's C class or another Camry. Ahh the nice cheap, reliable Toyota, I miss you I guess the velours nice, I'd kind of prefer leather, it is an S class. I love driving this car so much when it's running but It just needs so much, I'm going to have to dump another $3k into it:

New cooling system hoses
New engine and trans mounts
New flex discs
Fix trans leaks
Fix climate control leaks+burned out bulbs
Fix AC (maybe)
Replace front bumper
Replace front grill
Replace front lights
Rebuild injection pump
New shocks 4

Thats about it.

The piece in the front that was rusted is not actually the bumper. My mom's 420 has rust in that same spot, just like yours. It is just a chrome plated/aluminum piece that attaches to the bumper cover. I know what you mean though, and believe me, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than a NEW bumper.
Thanks
David
