What's the ugliest color you've seen a W123 painted?
I saw what must be the ugliest color I've seen on a W123 yet. I saw a euro coupe today and it was pumpkin orange, yuck! I know that M-B uses certain colors for safety and visibility but why such a color? It just doesn't do justice to such a fine design. I may get a few nasty replies but this is just my opinion.

We have one.....LOL.
It is now a parts car with a blown engine (my bro's fault). As our school colors were orange and black, we had hopes of taking it to football games with black electrical tape spelling the name of the team on the sides. We could still do it, we'd just have to tow it. Don

Hey, I hope that pumpkin color isn't "EnglischRot" you're making disparaging comments about.
My least favorite color? That nasty avocodo color....makes 'em look like an old kitchen appliance with wheels.

I've tried to look it up in the color charts but I guess it wasn't available here on a US model, Thank God! The closest match would be "cayenne orange" but even that didn't really come close to the glaring color I saw today.

My best friend had a 77 300D in a color I can only describe as thousand island dressing. It wasn't an ugly color, it just didn't look right on the car. Non metallic light blue doesn't suit the car either IMHO. My grandmother had an avocado green non-US 200 and I learned to like 123s in that color. I almost bought an avocado green 240D.

Hmmm
Phosphorescent Lime Green with yellow mud flaps, wheel rims painted copper and pink fuzzy dice on the mirror.
Front license plate said; lick me. Never saw the driver.

Viper Red.
Its ours. (Wife's 300 D) It should be called Viper Orange. I resprayed it over Christmas and we just couldn't stand it. I am in the process of repainting it GM Bright Red (looks a lot like Signal). And I think it will look quite fetching actually, with all the chrome. My wife wanted it that way. Personally, its not my favorite for that car but its not all that bad. Rick

I went off on a tangent. My vote for ugly 123 is that school bus yellow. I didn't think avocado was a 123 color- wasn't it W115? That would get my vote-especially with a pea green MB tex interior. Rick
