Indy suspension fix...reasonable?

i just got my 84 300SD back from my indy who fixed my clunking sounding front end and engine vibration at idle. He replace the front end castor bushing on th left side, said the right side was ok and previously fixed. He replaced both ball joints and the motor mount on the left side, said the right was ok. He charged me $600 plus tax for the repairs. Just wondering if this is reasonable relative to others out there, thanks.

I guess it sounds reasonable. Here is a price comparison on just the motor mounts; I am getting the 2 Engine Mounts, Transmission Mount, Engine Dampener and the Engine shock all for about $100 bucks. I will be doing it myself though.

That doesn't seem too bad for the work provided.

BTW: Castor bushing is yet another of the many names for a guide rod mount.

When I brought the SDL up from Florida, I stopped at my indy in North Carolina and had him do the following:

Tie rods
Alignment
Front pads
Rear axle fluid change
Balance all four tires
Check injection timing (electronic check on 603)
Motor mounts
Road test and evaluate

The total cost for parts and labor was $730. So, Edge, your cost for the work done in CT is about right. However, I cannot figure, for the life of me, why he would only do one motor mount. Hell, he is under there anyway, the additional time is about ten minutes!
