Lightbulb FYI: W123 in mag soon..

I think it's Prestiege, the only MB mag I ever see at Barns&Noble.
Last issue they had a neat piece on the w116, great pics of a RHD manual trans model too. The "next issue" section said it would do a feature on the w123. Just thought I'd mention it for any other book store prowlers...

Junes issue of Mercedes Enthusiast will be featuring an article on W123's as well. Keep an eye out for that!

I wish I could get Prestiege, my Barns&Noble never has it. I tried to get it for awhile but was given the run around. They never sent me the free issue I requested. To bad I would have suscribed if it was good.

Read the article last night. Pretty dull story.Very little info we don't already know, unlike the W115 story they did a couple of months ago. Pictures of three cars, a black sedan, a blue coupe and a cream wagon, all gassers. Though I did see another picture of that bizarre looking suitcase handle where our brake release knobs are located.

Hello,
THe *suitcase* handle is the parking brake, sir.
No idiotic foot operated parking brake in right hand drive Mercedes that ends up with three foot pedals for manual trans cars when humans have only two feet to operate them!
IIRC, the W210 and W220 have footpedal parking brakes, but ALL the cars here, a RHD market are automatics. I think C-class cars have a conventional lever on the centre tunnel.

Just read the article on the W123 in Mercedes Enthusiast. It was a basic, dull, and rather breif article that seemed to just touch the generals on the gasser w123's. I did like the fact that they mentioned the w123's current transition from being a bargain buy to a classic....

Id love to get my hands on an issue of Prestige that covered MB Diesels in the US. Heard it was very interesting, and featured the W123.
