Centric Bushing?
Hello, 1980 300D, I got an alignment done about a year ago after replacing both tie rods. It was one of the newer "laser" alignments. I was told that the car couldn't be PERFECTLY aligned because on one side in the front I needed a "centric bushing." That's what was written on the report.
Does anyone know what a centric bushing is? I've searched online and couldn't find anything, but I only found something called an ECCENTRIC bushing. I don't know if that's what I need or what. Anyone with some wisdom to impart? I have around 140,000 miles on the car and was also wondering if there's anything in the front end that typically needs replacing around this time, or is it just dependent on boots being ripped, etc. The front end appears to be high so I'm guessing the shocks are ok, but I almost always have some kind of vibration problems at highway speeds, and my alignment is out again! TIA! |
