Weak, saggy 2nd row seat in my TD
The back seats in my wagon (2nd row, really) have gotten to the point where they practically just collapse when you sit on them. They're not even remotely firm (but then again, I can't remember a time when they ever were). They're also prone to sagging more towards the outside (painful after a while).
Does anyone else here have this problem? Has anyone ever fixed it? Will new springs firm it up enough (I imagine this could be very expensive)? Has anyone had an upholstery store custom-make a firm foam padding to replace the springs (something that has come to my mind a few times)? Any ideas? Being the driver I don't have to deal with it personally, but it would be nice if I could get my passengers to stop whining about how they need a chiropractor after riding in the back .

Have you thought about just replacing them with seats from a parts car? It seems like it would be an easy job if you could find seats in better shape. Stevo on this forum had started a thread about a wagon that his friend was going to part out (palamino interior, car had been rear ended or something). I think the car was in Washington state and I don't know what he did with it in the end. This was a couple of months ago. I was considering swapping the seat back from my wagon for one that already had the head rests installed, but have gotten stalled out trying to get my third seat installation - one problem at a time! You could find the thread by searching I imagine.
