you won't believe what I saw today

This afternoon about 40 miles out of Little Rock I spotted a W123 pick-up. Appeared to be a fairly clean rework of a TD. I managed to grab a picture as I scooted on by, but only had time for one shot. I have been unable to access my server using my FTP through the hotel's internet hook up so the pic will have to wait until I get back to Michigan.

Here is the picture, sorry for the size, my laptop has a different program than my computer in California and I haven't figured out how to resize yet.

Anyway, ignore the squashed bugs on my windshield...I tried dodging them but to no avail.

Interesting piece of work. While I'm not a big fan of the 'Camino' body style, you gotta give them credit for doing a fine job on that car.

Mike,
You must have have set a fast shutter speed. That truck looks like it's sitting still. :D

I'm not big on the el-camino either. Maybe if it looked more like a Ranchero!!!!

Although it does look like a clean piece of work. Thanks.

Stephen

I don't see a star at the end of your hood.;)
Thanks

Sweet. Wonder how it handles.

Ya know, that looks like mid 80s El Camino glass in the back window. Too bad they didn't somehow use the rear hatch glass from the wagon .

Where did the two rear doors of the TD go???

boneheaddoctor 06-08-2004 08:19 AM

You know that is cool.............................

Good way to save a 123 wagon with rear roof damage but otherwise good car.

Randy,
As far as shutter speed ;), I used my digital set to "auto". I was very curious to see how well the picture turned out as I wasn't in a position to review the shot. By the time I realized what was ahead I only had a mili-second or two to grab the shot :D

But it has the quarter panels, tail lights, bumper and lower tailgate of the wagon.
